School can be tough and the things can quickly pile up. There’s always something you should be doing, you’re constantly adding to your to-do list, and you’re having to manage a school/social/personal/online life every second of the day. Therefore, we are giving you a few strategies to keep your school life organised.
KEEP A MASTER SCHEDULE
You can keep all your tasks organised by using a planner, a notebook, or your laptop. Some people even use apps which do really basic note-keeping for you and keep track of my entire week in one place. At the end of each day of the week you can update your list and keep on top of everything you have to do.
FIND SCHOOL SUPPLIES YOU LOVE
If you are going to have a productive school year, you have to have supplies that suit you. Pulling out a cute folder or spiral and some polka-dotted pencils can give you the boost of energy you might need to get through class. When you next go shopping make sure everything to buy something that fits your aesthetic and personal style.
BRING A NOTEBOOK WITH YOU THROUGHOUT THE DAY
It’s always great to keep a notebook in your bag for jotting down any ideas, things you need to get done, and any important information your teachers or parents may have given to you. Having all of those thoughts in one place could help to keep your more organised, and at the end of each day you can go through it and transfer over any to-do items to your laptop’s list.
KEEP YOUR BACKPACK Organised
Life is much easier when your backpack is stocked with everything you could possibly need. It could change depending on your schedule, but it’s always a good idea to pack a laptop, phone/laptop chargers, spirals/folders for classes that day, wallet/keys, snacks, a water bottle, a to-do list notebook, and a pencil pouch filled with pencils, pens, highlighters and sticky notes.
KEEP A SPIRAL OR FOLDER FOR EVERY CLASS
It’s a great idea to have a spiral for each of your classes, divided up into sections for notes and homework. You then only have to carry round your folders for each class that day so you bag will be much lighter then if you use the same folder for all subjects. Buying spirals and folders in different colours will also ensure you don’t accidentally take the wrong spiral to class!
GO OVER YOUR TO-DO LIST EVERY NIGHT
It’s a good idea to make a habit to go over what’s left every night and prioritise each task for the next day. This lets you decide if you need to schedule out time for anything, or move some tasks to different days. That’s why it’s a great idea to have a digital calendar so much easier to move tasks around.
