Sam Fender is kind of a big deal at the moment.

If you have been living under a rock and are wondering who he is, he is a lad hailing from Newcastle, writing, singing and playing some pretty epic indie-rock music.

He comes from a musical background and first picked up his beloved guitar at the tender age of ten. By 13, he was writing his own songs.

He caught the eye of Owain Davies, Ben Howard's manager, while busking at local bars, and the rest, as they say, is history.

In 2018, he released his debut EP, 'Dead Boys,' and in 2019, he got the prestigious BRITs Critic's Choice Award. His debut album, 'Hypersonic Missiles,' was published later that year, and his second full-length, 'Seventeen Going Under,' was released the following year, earning him the BRIT Award for Best Alternative/Rock Act.

Sam Fender will perform two major local shows in Newcastle's St James' Park in June 2023. Due to health difficulties, he has cancelled his Seventeen Going Under Tour of the United States, which was set to begin in September 2022. The Australian leg, however,  is still set to begin in November.
