Released in 1988, it was a much-loved film back then and still is to this day. It is about a young couple who have recently deceased and hire a poltergeist to get rid of an unwelcome guest in their home. It is comedy gold and will forever be a wonderful film to watch at Halloween.
The Nightmare Before Christmas
This awesome film can be watched as both a Christmas Movie and a Halloween movie. It’s certainly one that makes the spooky season a little lighter, and has been since 1993 when it was released. If you want something that has emotion, life lessons while managing to include humour, you’re onto a winner here.
The Overall Winner
Of course, the best halloween film is always going to be Hocus Pocus! It has everything that you could possibly want from a Halloween film, it’s got supernatural elements such as magic, humour, and everything in between. You really can’t beat Hocus Pocus no matter which way you look at it, so if it’s not one you’ve seen yet, it’s certainly something you should make time for this year. This is especially true with the second one coming out October 2022.
